The Class A CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites. This position plays a critical role in supporting field operations by ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety, compliance, and equipment care standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles including dump trucks, lowboys, tractor-trailers, and other heavy hauling equipment
- Transport construction materials, aggregates, and heavy equipment to job sites safely and efficiently
- Load and unload materials and equipment as required
- Secure loads in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required documentation
- Maintain accurate driver logs and delivery tickets
- Follow all DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and job site personnel
- Perform basic preventative maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Clean driving record and ability to pass MVR review
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Experience hauling heavy equipment or construction materials preferred
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement standards
- Strong work ethic and reliability
